Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing ~2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers still soft.
- Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
