Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs cooked in a sticky honey-garlic glaze with a balance of sweet, savory, and caramelized flavors. Simple and satisfying for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • Fresh parsley or green onion for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat slightly and add the minced garlic to the same pan. Cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  6. Let the chicken simmer in the glaze for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion before serving.

Tip: For extra caramelization, let the sauce bubble without stirring for the last minute of cooking so it thickens and clings to the chicken.
