Juicy chicken thighs cooked in a sticky honey-garlic glaze with a balance of sweet, savory, and caramelized flavors. Simple and satisfying for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in or boneless chicken thighs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Fresh parsley or green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown on both sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Lower the heat slightly and add the minced garlic to the same pan. Cook briefly until fragrant.
- Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Add red pepper flakes if using.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Let the chicken simmer in the glaze for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion before serving.
Tip: For extra caramelization, let the sauce bubble without stirring for the last minute of cooking so it thickens and clings to the chicken.
